Louise S. McGehee School

Lydia Middleton Elementary

Macfarlane Park Elementary

Our vision at Macfarlane Park Elementary is to “create an advanced elementary program where students become aware of the shared humanity that binds all people together and develop respect for the variety of cultures and attitudes that adds to the richness of life”. Macfarlane Park Magnet international studies experience enriches and broadens the learning experiences of our students by instilling the principles of international understanding, with a focus on the whole child. We feel that H2O for Life will give our students a great opportunity to see those shared needs we have as humans and the disparity of how those needs are met around the world. We look forward to making a difference!

Maclay School

Maclay School wants to Help! We want to make a difference in the lives of others and by making it possible for children to go to school and not have to worry about water concerns seems to be a good way to help. We hope that through our efforts we can help provide a better educational environment for the students of Magungu Primary so they might have the opportunity to take full advantage of the learning process taking place at their school.

Madison Consolidated High School

We have the opportunity to provide a transformational service-learning opportunity for our students through H2O for Life. Our students will study issues surrounding the global water crisis, learn about their partner school and country, and will plan and implement activities that raise funds to help bring water and sanitation to our partner school. We want our students to know that by working together, we can make a difference in the world!

Madison Middle School

We are a 6th-8th grade middle school that wants to help provide access to clean drinking water for Sudan.

Magnuson Christian School

We are a private Christian K-8 school that is excited to help people around the world have clean water to drink and use.

Maple Grove Junior High

The reason why we want to do this is because, it is our goal to help children all around the world to get clean water. Also, we know that clean water brings opportunities for things like education, health, life, and time to do other things. This is our sixth year raising money and we plan to continue doing so.

Marilyn Wilson Elementary

We at Wilson Elementary would like to help another primary school have clean water. We have 6 families from Africa and want to honor them as we raise money to help their country. We have several activities planned and have started lessons on water and it's importance to our world. We live in the Arizona desert but have ample water. We have so much and other parts of the world do not. We want to do what we can to join the fight for clean safe water.

Mason-Rice Elementary School 1st ...

Ms. McGrath's first grade class has been learning a lot about Human Rights, specifically focusing on the rights of children across the world. One's right to access clean, potable water particularly affected our class. We read and listened to many stories about children, especially girls, who are unable to receive an education because they must journey to collect water for their family's survival each day. In order to get a mere glimpse into this extremely different way of life, our class went on a small journey for water. We walked to a nearby lake to individually collect cups of water, on a bitter cold day in New England. Everyone tried their best to walk back to school, without spilling a drop of water, keeping in mind that this supply is needed for health and survival. When we returned to our warm classroom, we measured the amount of water that made it back and compared it to an "Average Daily Water Usage" graph. We had not returned with enough water for even one person to survive upon for one day, let alone 23 kids. Our six and seven year old children felt strongly that they wanted a way to help make a difference in the live's of other children, who deserve the right to drink and use safe water, just like them. H2O for Life seems like a great avenue to make this hope for change, a real possibility.

Matoska International

We are globally-minded students who care about the world. We can help the world and make a change in the world. We care about water. We want to help others in need. We want all people to have access to clean water. Others in the world deserve clean water too.

Maury Elementary School

Maury Elementary is nestled in the heart of Alexandria, Virginia, just outside Washington DC. Our goal is to raise $3,200 for EZ Kabane High School: EZ Kabane is a high school of more than 500 fun, active, and ambitious students operating out of an abandoned school building in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. On top of educating the students, the understaffed administration and teachers must deal with a crumbling infrastructure and the fact that the entire school has only one toilet with dysfunctional flushing capabilities and just one source of drinking water—an outdoor spicket. If we can help the community repair all flushing toilets, construct additional water taps, build a water tank, replace toilet seats and provide doors to bathroom stalls, the principal and teachers of EZ Kabane can concentrate on what they do best…educating children!
