Oklahoma Road Middle School

Oklahoma Road Middle School was inspired by a lesson taught by 6th grade math teacher Mrs. Morgan. As a school we learned about Water Crisis and the struggles that many people have to face daily in order to get water. Two eighth graders, Sasa M. and James M. as well as their team decided to do something about the problem and help people in developing countries. Our school held a Walk for Water and fundraiser to raise money for people in developing countries. With this fundraiser Oklahoma Road Middle School was able to raise $2,000 to help the Water Crisis.

Old St. Mary’s School

In 2004 Old St. Mary’s School opened its doors to its first preschool class of 18 children. Today we are proud to serve over 500 students in preschool through eighth grade. Located in the vibrant South Loop, Old St. Mary’s offers a rigorous academic and faith-based education in a neighborhood school setting.

Olivia’s 2024 Walk For Water

Oltman Middle School

In 6th grade Critical Thinking class we are working towards raising awareness and making a difference with the global water crisis. We will be reading the book, "A Long Walk to Water" as well as doing our own walk for water during the last week of school. We are 5 "Critical Thinking" classes coming together to help fund a project in South Sudan. We are taking part in a "global water crisis" unit, which includes a walk for water service learning project to give back. We are currently reading the book, "A Long Walk to Water", and will be walking at the end of November.

Oneka Elementary School - BOSS Group

The Oneka BOSS (Bears Outstanding Service Superheroes) group is ending our year of service with a fundraiser for H2O for Life. After participating in We Day, our 4th and 5th grade members were inspired to make a difference in our community, our country, and our world.

Orion Oaks School

Osceola High School-Why Wait

Through the school club "Why Wait?", students are encouraged to change the world in the areas they are passionate about. One of the current projects is an event to recognize World Water Day, and the money raised will be donated to this community through H2O for Life.

Ottawa Hills Junior High School

Otter Lake Elementary School

There is a water crisis throughout the world that is creating economic, social, educational and, worst of all, life threatening conditions. We can help change that statistic for our partner school. We want our students to know that by working together, we can make a difference in the world! We hope that all students in our school will benefit from our partnership with H2O for Life. Students will be challenged to think about their own habits concerning water usage, and will develop awareness of the enormity of the issues surrounding water in our world. We hope our school will be committed to make this project for our partner school a reality.

Pacific Ridge School

The 7th grade class just read A Long Walk To Water in our study of the global and local water problems. We are going to do a local water awareness campaign but the students were so moved by the book that we wanted to get involved even though it is late in the year. I hope we can still help out!
