Bennett Middle School
We are surrounded by water here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and we are fortunate to have a brand new school building with beautiful bathrooms and clean water. We would like to help students in other countries have access to clean water and sanitation through H2O for Life!
Benoist Farms Elementary
Benoist Farms Elementary School has chosen to participate in the H2O for Life fundraiser because our students understand the importance of helping others.... whether within our community or around the world. The "Water Wobble" event, which is a dance in our cafeteria, gives our students a chance to have fun but also raise donations for a very important cause.
Bessey Creek Elementary School
Our school is thrilled to be participating in the H2O for Life campaign to help bring water to those in need. At Bessey Creek Elementary School, we firmly believe that positive change occurs when individuals unite under a common cause. We are better together! Being a part of this vital initiative while motivating our students to make a meaningful impact is something we are so grateful for.
Be the Dream - Woodbury High School
Be the Dream inspires young adults to transform their dreams into a reality through education, service, and leadership.
Bethlehem Child Care Center
We are a faith based child care center who hopes to teach our young children the value of helping others. Our center has previously partnered with H2O for Life to build wells in Kenya and Guatemala. Water is a basic need of all humans, a need that even the smallest children understand.
Big Sun Foundation
The Big Sun Foundation is aiming to raise $5,000 to help the Totolya Primary School in Guatemala gain access to improved water, sanitation, and hygiene education. There are a total of 70 families in the San Lucas Toliman municipality, and the school, right next to the town meeting hall, is the prominent feature of the community. Both the teachers and parents have actively demonstrated great interest, enthusiasm and gratitude towards the installation of the water tank.
Bike4Water
From the shores of Lake Erie to the Atlantic coast, John Reid and Mark Dudek will be embarking on a 1,600 mile biking adventure from Cleveland, OH to Miami, FL beginning May 2nd. In doing so, we will be raising money for clean water projects at schools in Nicaragua and Ghana. Living in the US, most of us take clean water for granted–we never think twice about where we’ll get our next drink, let alone worry about if it will make us sick. However, the world is currently amidst an extreme water crisis. Twenty-nine percent of people in the world do not have access to clean drinking water and 1.2 million people die every year due to unsafe water sources. In Africa, women and children walk an average of 3.5 miles every day to collect 40 pounds of water to provide for their families and village. These disparities highlight the need for change. The good news is that we can make a difference! A $50 donation provides one person with access to clean water for life, but any amount can make a tremendous impact. If you are unable to donate, we understand and any positive vibes sent our way are still much appreciated! The projects we are sponsoring directly support safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education implementation at the involved schools. The addition of these facilities improves the students’ health and learning environment by reducing the incidence of water and sanitation related diseases. Additionally, students will be able to devote more time to their studies as they will no longer have to fetch water throughout the day. To learn more details about each project, click on the links below titled "Akome Senior High Technical School" and "San Luis, Achiote". This journey has been made possible through the generosity of Katie Spotz, who awarded Mark with a grant to pursue an adventure of his choosing. Thank you all for your unwavering support and love. Let’s Ride!! (We are currently working to remove the amount column from the donation section. Please submit your donation as anonymous if you do not wish for your name to be displayed.)
