Dear H2O for Life, We are pleased to report that Water for South Sudan has drilled the well that you sponsored. We have now drilled more than 600 wells since 2005, and we are deeply grateful for the continued support from donors like you. WFSS will continue to provide access to clean water and hygiene education, led by our South Sudan team. Although parts of South Sudan continue to experience unrest, we have been able to continue drilling wells safely. This weekend H2O for Life’s High School fellows heard from Erin Huber, the Founder and Executive Director of Drink Local. Drink Tap. The fellows learned about storytelling during this session and Erin shared her journey in becoming an advocate for clean water. The fellows had tons of questions, so many we nearly went over time! Centennial Middle School has been a proud participant with H2O for Life since 2007 and is one of the original H2O for Life Schools. “Educating our students about the global water crisis including both local and global issues is important. Seventh Graders Surpass Goal!

Seventh graders at Ashland-Greenwood Middle School in NE pledged to raise $2,000 to support St. Mugagga Junior School in Uganda—and they’ve already surpassed their goal! Impact Hub Academy Project

Impact Hub Academy is a rural community school located in Dzolokpuita in the Volta Region of Ghana. It was established to provide quality education, develop communal spirit among students through service learning, and enhance computer technology learning. Project and Impact The project included the construction of modern washroom facilities and the provision of a water storage tank to harvest rainwater. These two projects are critical for the functioning of the school. Hitherto, the lack of these facilities had hindered teaching and learning, and hygiene issues among teachers and pupils. Ishikawa Walk for Water

The sixth-grade classes at Ishikawa Elementary School in Mesa, Arizona, took part in their 4th annual H2O For Life fundraiser.  The students completed a 5k Walk for Water wearing their H2O shirts, each carrying a gallon of water. They also asked the student body to donate at least $1.00 each. Students who donated wrote their name on a water droplet and added it to our large display in the gym. Several students took it upon themselves to have neighborhood bake sales, made bracelets to sell, and even had a lemonade stand! We are proud of our students for their part […]

H2O for Life Fellowship Alumni Takes on Water Quality in Ecuador

School has been going very well for Melissa Bologescu, as she is wrapping up her freshman year of college. Last year, she was a Senior at Enloe High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. There, she helped lead her local Interact Club in an H2O for Life Project through our fellowship program. We are always excited to get updates from previous students and what they are up to. White Bear Lake Elementary Schoolers Visit The Local Water Treatment Plant

The students at Matoska and Willow Elementaries on White Bear Lake are teaming up this year for their annual H2O for Life Projects. The Water Warrior Clubs at both schools have been learning more about the Global Water Crisis as they prepare for their end of year Walk for Water. They took their learning outside of the classroom earlier this month when they visited the local water treatment plant in their town for a tour. Westridge Water Warrior Raffle

On April 10th, I spent a morning in Pasadena, California, visiting teacher Gigi Bizar at the Westridge School. Westridge is an all-girls school and has partnered with H2O for Life for the past 13 years! It was serendipitous that the “Water Warriors” club was hosting its final H2O for Life event for the year. The girls were hosting a raffle. Each club member donated an item or a basket. At 7 am, I helped Gigi and several of her “Warriors” set up the raffle outside on tables to get ready to sell tickets!
