Ely Elementary Walk for Water
It is an annual tradition here in Ely, Minnesota, for the Student Council to sponsor a Walk for Water, and this year’s Student Council members are again excited to share this with our student body!
We live in Ely, where sparkling, clear water abounds, and our students take a short walk to the drinking fountain to fill their water bottles. We strongly believe that it is essential for our students to help those who are less fortunate than themselves, and we are proud to be part of teaching them to look beyond themselves and make a positive impact in the world.
This year, we had our Walk on May 20 and had an “in school” fundraising campaign to “Fill the Bucket” leading up to that day. One student asked, “What if we need a bigger bucket?” Collectively, the conversation then excitedly turned to having to get bigger and bigger buckets to fill.
The Student Council would be appreciative of your donation to help the school in South Sudan we are supporting to dig a well for a cleaner and closer water source. DONATE HERE
Please join us as we work to help others!
Sincerely and gratefully,
The Elementary Student Council
