Virtual Walk for Water

Posted by Mitchell LeGrand on April 3, 2020

Due to COVID-19, many H2O for Life schools are unable to raise funds for their partner schools as they had planned this year. As a water, sanitation and hygiene education (WASH) organization, education on disease prevention is a core part of the work we support. We’re all in this together, so it’s time for everyone to be a helper.

We will be hosting a Virtual Walk for Water on Earth Day, April 22nd. Many of our participating schools use the Walk for Water as an activity to help students understand the difficulties other people have around the world with accessing clean, safe water and as a fundraiser to support global water projects. It is an excellent way for the family to participate in what their child is learning about in school and a great excuse to get outside for some fresh air together! Join the cause at our Virtual Walk for Water Page Here.

Share how you chose to walk on social media. Be sure to tag us so we can share it to our story! #h2oforlife #walkforwater, @h2oschools If you are not on social media, send a picture or video to info@h2oforlifeschools.org!

Because of the unfortunate COVID-19 situation, we anticipate we will need to raise $94,430 in order to complete the 60 projects that have been pledged to this year. Let’s all do our part to contribute to the common good, so that when this crisis is over, we’re proud of how we came together.

Support our work and give today. Please consider creating a personal fundraiser and asking your social circle to contribute.
