Hoboken Charter School Recognized for 13 Years of Service!

Posted by Mitchell LeGrand on July 17, 2020

Throughout July, H2O for Life is recognizing schools that have participated in a service-learning and fundraising project for 10 years or more.

Last week we highlighted Centennial Middle School. Today, we would like to shine a light on our friends at Hoboken Charter School in New Jersey! The students at Hoboken have been participating in our program for 13 years!

Since 2007, they have raised just under $50,000 for partner schools around the world. They have hosted Water Walks to raise funds and awareness for the struggle many students around the world face to get clean water. They created “Water Wings,” a fun water-themed afternoon of carnival activities to get their school community involved in their project. We can honestly say that the students have “put their hearts” into their work when they sent Valentines to their partner schools! Students from the Hoboken Charter School community have been making a big impact in the lives of others!

Since 2007, Hoboken School has supported:

  • 24 different WASH projects
  • In 6 different countries around the world
  • On 2 different continents
  • Implemented by 12 of our NGO partners

Thank you, Hoboken Charter School, for 13 years of hard work and for always striving to be engaged global citizens. Your dedication to helping students around the world have access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene resources is inspiring!
