New well drilled in South Sudan

Posted by Steve Hall on February 25

We are pleased to report that our implementing partner, Water for South Sudan, has drilled the well that you sponsored. They have now drilled over 400 wells since 2005 and are deeply grateful for the support of donors like you!

WFSS will continue to provide access to clean water and hygiene education, led by their South Sudan team. Although parts of South Sudan continue to experience unrest, they have been able to continue drilling wells safely. Their work continues to provide grassroots development and sustainability for rural villages and schools. The installation of a new well can also serve as a starting point for conflict resolution between different groups, bringing peace and stability.

This new well is in the village of Buon-Nyoor in Aguok-North County, Gogrial State, South Sudan. The village chief is Anei Arol. GPS coordinates of this well are: 8°37’59.1″N 28°18’52.6″E

Thank you for your support and generosity, which is now helping to provide fresh, clean water-and a new future-to the people in Buon-Nyoor, South Sudan.

Thank you to Senn High School, IL for supporting this project!
