My name is Jessica Steinhart and I am a middle school student at Westridge. I am creating a fundraiser page to raise awareness on the water crisis. This week, we started on our Water Unit. In our Water Unit, our teachers teach us about the water crisis that is going on. In Africa, girls have to walk about 3.5 miles a day, carrying about 20 liters (approximately 42 pounds) which takes 2-3 hours. Not only are they missing school and their learning opportunity, the water that they carry back is unsanitary, muddy and full of diseases. With your donations, we will be able to establish a well for Uganda so that the people can access clean water and girls can get back their opportunity to learn. Any amount is appreciated.
