Hello there! I'm raising funds to help schools who lack the access of safe drinking water and sanitation. However, it's not just sanitization, but also education. You see, women and girls spend their time fetching water for their families, walking 4 or more miles every day, while hauling 40 pounds of dirty water on the way back. As doing so, they sacrifice their time learning, instead fetching water to survive. Girls even drop out of school as they reach puberty if their school doesn't have proper toilets. This limits their access to both education and business opportunities. Even after all this hard work, some children become orphans because their parents or close relatives die of HIV/Aids, as a result of drinking unsafe water.

All donations will head towards to building a clean water well at a school in Uganda. The main reason on why I'm doing this fundraiser is to spread awareness to others about how not everyone has a easy way of accessing water compared to people in developed countries. Even so, we take turning on our faucet for water for granted, even showering. Due to these reasons, I believe that everyone shouldn't have to drink dirty water and having to drop out of school, but instead that everyone should have a good, sustainable life, regardless of where they grew up or born in. So, even if you can spare a dollar or two, you're making a change in this world. Not just any change, a good change for both adults and children in Uganda and helping them one step closer to achieving a better, sustainable lifestyle. Thank you so much for your donations!
