The Plainview-Elgin-Millville School Science Club successfully raised $1,263.22 through their “Penny War” and Mother’s Day Plant Sale. The funds will be used to assist their adopted school, Saviefe Deme Community School in Ghana, in installing a water pump, PVC piping, and a poly tank with a stand. Access to clean water and improved sanitation after extensive flooding will provide the school with essential support. Great job, PEM Middle School students! SUPPORT CAMPAIGN HERE

The Sissonville High School International Club recently organized and held its annual Walk for Water, along with several other activities, raising a total of $1,200 for WASH projects in Uganda, Sierra Leone, and the Navajo Nation in the United States. This marks the 14th year that the West Virginia students have participated in the H2O for Life program, during which they have supported 18 individual projects around the globe. İstek Uluğbey Private High School in Istanbul, Turkey, aims to engage, educate, and inspire their students to become global citizens. The students recently organized a stand at their school, where they raised awareness of the global water crisis among the student body and sold raffle tickets. As a result, three plushies were adopted by students. The day after the stand, they held a Walk 4 Water event at Bostancı Sahil in Istanbul, where the participants walked a total of 9 kilometers. Msengela Primary School is situated in the Kilolo district of the Iringa region. The school was facing a significant water crisis that adversely impacted the health, hygiene, and academic performance of its 452 students and 8 staff members. The school lacked a direct water supply, forcing students to fetch water from a stream located more than 1.5 kilometers away. This water is untreated and often contains harmful microorganisms, putting students and staff at risk of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, typhoid, and cholera. The 7th-grade Humanities room at Gate City Charter School for the Arts was buzzing. It all started back in April. Your contribution has given access to clean water for the St. Stephen Chepsaga Secondary School in Kenya, thanks to the completion of their borehole well! Last month, three H2O for Life alumni joined us at the U.S. WASH Convening in Washington, DC. Andrew, Emmie, and Melissa previously participated in H2O for Life’s High School Fellowship Program, where they each led a service project at their respective schools to raise awareness and funds for a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) intervention at a partner school.
