Students educating their peers! Bank Street School for Children in New York shared this update:

“We are a private, progressive school in NYC serving children ages 3-14. In the 6th grade, our students study water contamination in Science class, Human Rights in Social Studies, and read “A Long Walk to Water” in English. As part of an integrated, cross-curricular unit of study, our students wish to raise awareness, in our community, about the water crisis and specifically to help a school in South Sudan where the book they are reading takes place.

Four of our 6th grade students served as representatives for our grade in this week’s 5th-8th grade assembly. They prepared a slideshow educating their peers about the global water crisis and informing them of the work we as a sixth grade are doing, in conjunction with H2O for Life, to help.”
