Pioneer Ridge Highlighted for Over 11 Years of Service!

Posted by Mitchell LeGrand on July 31, 2020

Throughout July, H2O for Life is recognizing schools that have participated in a service-learning and fundraising project for 10 years or more.

Last week we highlighted Salem Hills Elementary. Today, we would like to applaud our friends at Pioneer Ridge Middle School, where students have been participating in our program for 11 years!

Since 2009, they have raised over $18,000 for partner schools in 8 different countries. The students at Pioneer are some serious academics! The 8th grade classes learn about different regions of the world in their social science classes and the water cycle in their science classes, then they take action on what they have learned by hosting an annual Walk for Water to support a partner school.

Since 2009 Pioneer Ridge Middle School has supported:

  • 13 different WASH projects
  • In 8 different countries around the world
  • Implemented by 6 of our NGO partners

Thank you, Pioneer Ridge Middle School, for 11 years of hard work and for taking the time to learn about the global water crisis! Your dedication to helping students around the world have access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene resources is inspiring.
