2020 GCMS Fundraiser has begun!

Posted by Steve Hall on March 11, 2020

Glacier Creek Middle School in Cross Plains, WI recently updated us on their project plans. Glacier Creek has been an amazing participant in our program for 9 years! See below…

“We want to teach our students that they can make a difference in the world. This project closely aligns with our curriculum, as we study about microbes and disease. Also, our school has been involved with H2O for Life for a number of years, and this campaign touches on many of the themes we have worked to educate our students about.

Our 2020 H2O for Life fundraiser is officially underway! Students have already seen a video introducing the Global Water Crisis, read some articles, and/or played a Kahoot to increase awareness of this issue. Our fundraiser this year will help build biosand filters, wells, and toilets, and to fund hygiene education programs and health check ups for our three partner schools. We have a large task ahead of us – the goal is to raise $1600 per grade level, for a total of $6,377 by Friday, March 20th. We cannot do this without your help! This total amounts to roughly $5 per student and staff member”.
