Nyaka Vocational Secondary School Visit

Posted by Steve Hall on February 28, 2019

This is a boarding school that provides free education to kids who have lost parents to HIV/AIDS. 6 of their most senior girls, “the Technovators”, gave us a tour. They are all so amazing and so smart!

Thanks to H2O for Life Schools, the girls dormitory at Nyaka Vocational Secondary School now has two new water tanks with capacity to hold 10,000 liters of water. They are both fully installed, have been filled to capacity by rainwater, and are ready for use. These tanks will be of great importance in providing water to the girls at NVSS, which has been a problem. This will help them to stay clean without having to sacrifice study time to fetch water. This is especially important for girls during menstruation.

These water tanks will provide clean water to 112 girls this year. These girls will go on to be leaders in their fields because you empowered them with clean water!
