Water Catchment System and Latrines for Wangui Students

Posted by Steve Hall on January 22, 2018

Wangui Primary School in Kenya now has a new water catchment system and latrine blocks! Wangui has good rainwater harvesting potential as the area experiences high rainfall. The school has a total population of 333 (pupils and teachers).

Previously, the only available storage for rainwater was one small plastic tank that was donated by the community. During dry spells, the school would get water from a nearby stream 50 meters away from the compound.
