It Was All About Middle School

Posted by Christy Andacht on November 2, 2018

H2O for Life staff – Danielle and Christy – recently attended the Association Middle-Level Educators (AMLE) Conference. We were thrilled with the turn out and always welcome the opportunity to tell our story to teachers.

In our conversations, we were able to connect many of our lesson plans to the needs of middle-level educators. A favorite: pairing the book A Long Walk to Water with one of our South Sudan Water Projects. Another favorite for our Science Teachers – Safe Water Science: Making Water Safe to Drink.

Furthermore, when we shared stories from our other H2O for Life projects, the middle-level educators at AMLE became eager to involve their schools and their students, confident that they were ready to be service-minded leaders!

We were inspired by the educators. We are grateful for their commitment to providing a hands on service learning experience for their students. We cannot wait to recognize and celebrate the stories from their classrooms.

If you are a middle-level educator and would like to connect with H2O for Life and implement our a project into your classroom, contact us today!
