Walking in the Footsteps Challenged to Access Clean, Safe Water
After discussions about our summer, common read, A Long Walk to Water, student groups receive different profiles of those who struggle to access clean, safe water. This simulation activity is a part of our Experiential Ed Water Day. The simulation directs them through 24 hours in the life of their person. Post reflections were robust. Students inspired to do something.

A beautiful day for a Walk around the neighborhood!
Friends Seminary 6th graders read “The Long Walk for Water” focused on South Sudan implementing partner Salva Dut.  The students were inspired and held their own long walk for water to raise funds to help install another well in South Sudan. Students are always amazed at how hard it is to carry water for a long distance, and through their participation with H2O for life learn that providing water and sanitation for a school is life-changing. This will be the 8th well that Friends Seminary has supported over a 5 year partnership with H2O for Life. They also provided funds for a school in Tanzania.
