Students at Franklin Road Academy have learned about the water challenges we face as global citizens and want to be part of the solutions. This year the 7th grade has participated in a Water Stewardship Unit in Geography. The service learning unit has covered academic standards related to the importance of water as a natural resource. Franklin Road Academy is excited to be partnering with other schools to help complete H2O projects.
These pictures show students earning money by doing jobs in teachers’ classrooms around the academy. Students took the 5 for 5 challenge to their homes and neighborhoods as well. Five cleaning jobs were done for a suggested donation of five dollars. We appreciate the generosity of our donors! We have almost reached our goals for two projects!
