Welcome to my fundraising page! My name is Sloane and I’m a 7th grader who attends Westridge school for girls. I’m here to raise awareness on a critical issue that affects millions of people around the world, which is not having access to clean water. Did you know that 1 in 10 people don’t hold the same luxury we do with our safe water sources? That’s more than 700 million people! People walk several miles on sometimes rough terrain, carrying water for their communities. Most of the time this water isn’t even safe enough to drink, so they must spend their time afterwards sterilizing it. Unfortunately, because of their crucial jobs, these families are prevented from focusing on other important things such as education and work. However, when clean water wells are built for them and they can finally live their lives, it changes their entire perspective on things. Whether it’s a cent, a dime, or any amount of money you can share with others, it still is an incredible donation, and we appreciate anything! Thank you so much for listening!
