This spring, 8th grade Global Studies students are sponsoring a community in South Sudan after reading the novel, A Long Walk to Water. Our service-learning project will provide students with many opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of the global water crisis, to walk in someone's else shoes, and to learn about innovative ideas to help solve this global issue.
All donations will go towards drilling and installing a well so the people can access clean water. By gaining access to clean water, communities have the potential to benefit from better health, education, economy, gender equality, stability and peace.
