Day 1: March 15 – Arrival and transfer to the hotel

Day 2: March 16 – Transfer to Mbale

After breakfast, you will be transferred toMbale(Sipi) with a stopover in Jinja visiting the source of the longest river in the world, River Nile. Day 3: March 17 – Visit Sipi Falls

In the morning with accredited guides, you will hike through local communities to roaring waterfalls, lush farms and forests, and magnificent views of the Sipi falls. (moderate-difficult hike) Or you can opt for a coffee tour. (This is an easy hike/walk to a local Ugandan home for tour)

Day 4: March 18 –  Transfer to Soroti  

H2O for Life NGO Partner, Drop in the Bucket, will guide our school visits near Soroti

Day 5: March 19 – School visits near Soroti

Day 6: March 20 – Early departure to Murchison Falls

 Say goodbye to Soroti and proceed to Murchison falls. Depending on the departure time, we’ll arrive in a hot buffet at the lodge and later go for an evening sunset game drive which the best way to wind off the day.

Day 7: March 21 – Game and Boat cruise

Go for an early morning game drive and here, you may see elephant, Lion, buffalo, giraffe, hartebeests and many more. After lunch, enjoy a boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream to the base of the Falls. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoebill stork. The boat stops just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. Take pictures of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls. Descend from the boat and hike to the top of Murchison falls. (moderate to difficult hike) The hike starts right off at baker’s point, where Sir Samuel Baker, a famous explorer of the time, stood. This hike might take between forty-five minutes to one and half hours, depending on how big the group is or how fit everyone is. There is a long stretch of steps that you will keep ascending until you reach the top. Yaaay you made it! Top of the falls. Camera clicks, selfies and then you enjoy a leisurely game-drive back to the lodge.

Day 8: March 22– Chimpanzee Tracking I Rhino Tracking

Go for an early chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest.  Budongo forest offers an extremely rich bio-diversity including 24 species of small mammals, 9 species of primates and 280 butterflies. It is also a natural habitat of more than 600 chimpanzees. Other primates that can be observed are black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and grey-cheecked Mangabey. Proceed to Ziwa overnight. Track Rhinos prior to dinner.

Day 9: March 23- Shoebill tour Nakasongola (Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary)

At (06H00) go for a shoebill tour in the canoe ride through the swamp. This will give you an opportunity also to see an amazing Ugandan sunrise over the Lugogo swamp.  After viewing the shoebill, have breakfast, and begin the journey to Kampala/Entebbe for late evening flight home.

On the way to Entebbe, stop at one more school visit with the Ugandan Water Project. (location to be provided) Check in Laico Hotel in Entebbe your day rooms to refresh. At 9:00PM, you will be dropped at the Entebbe International airport for your onward flight back home.
