Project Complete!

This school is found in the Msundwe community, in Traditional Authority Malili in Lilongwe west (approximately 30km from the capital city). The school has an enrolment of 508 students, and 6 teachers with a catchment population of 1,783 people.
The school has no water source point for safe drinking, no hand washing facilities, and poor sanitary facilities.
This project will be a comprehensive Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Project (WASH) Project including 4 double pit latrines (2 boys, 2 girls, 2 teachers), 2 urinal stations (1 boy, 1 girls) and 4 hand washing facilities (2 boys, 2 girls). It will also include hygiene training for the students and teachers and will include the planting of 100 trees around the water point and 4-5 trees for each student’s family. It also includes distribution of P&G’s PUR packs to each family. PUR Packs is the water purification technology in a powder, an amazing innovation that quickly turns 10 liters of dirty, potentially deadly water into clean and drinkable water.
