Masiye Primary School

Malawi 763 beneficiaries Lilongwe northwest in ...

Project Complete!

This school is found in Lilongwe northwest in Traditional Authority Mbang’ombe (approximately 45km from the city of Lilongwe). It has the 756 students, 7 teachers and a catchment population of 2,468 people.
This school has no water source point, no hand washing facilities and poor sanitary facilities (toilets).
This project will be a complete WASH Project including 4 double pit latrines (2 boys, 2 girls, 2 teachers), 2 urinal stations (1 boy, 1 girls) and 4 hand washing facilities (2 boys, 2 girls). It will also include hygiene training for the students and teachers and will include the planting of 100 trees around the water point and 4-5 trees for each student’s family. It also includes distribution of P&G’s PUR packs to each family. PUR packs - the water purification technology in a powder, is an amazing innovation that quickly turns 10 liters of dirty, potentially deadly water into clean and drinkable water.
