We Made It!

May 19, 2022
18 days, 1,647 miles, and 269 granola bars later we have reached Miami! Since our last update we have rode through Tennessee, a small stint in North Carolina, Georgia, and finally Florida. Our route took us through the Smokey Mountains National Park (arguably the best day of riding during the trip), into Cherokee NC, east through Georgia to savannah and then down the Atlantic coast. During our stretch through Georgia we enjoyed empty country roads and rolling hills which made it one of our favorite parts of the trip. We also completed or longest ride of the trip in GA riding 141 miles from Augusta to Savannah. Once in Savannah, it was a straight shot down the coast which featured beautiful rides along the ocean on the A1A highway. Our rides in Florida took us through Jacksonville, Vero Beach, West Palm Beach, and finally Miami. We would like to thank all our incredible hosts Randy/Becky, Jay/Andrea, Allen/Ashley, the Belmont family, Dan, Jordan, Eli/Liz/Carl 🐐, Carole, Chuck, Yossi, Fred, Brad, Uncle Butch/Aunt Mary Ellen, and Eric/Laura whose incredible generosity made this trip possible and certainly a lot more enjoyable. We would also like to thank everyone who has donated! We are so excited to have reached our donation goal and be able to support the clean water projects we selected. To our family and friends thank you for all the love and support, it’s time for a beer!!! 🚲💦
