Back before COVID when I was attending Manhattan Beach Middle School, I learned about the water crisis in Africa through my history class. I couldn’t believe that students weren’t able to go to school and study because they had to walk several miles each day to get fresh drinking water in order to survive. I discovered this incredible organization, WALK FOR WATER, and because of YOU was able to build not one, but TWO wells for two different schools. This afforded dozens of students the ability to learn rather than walk for water each day.
The world shut down, I started a new school, and basketball has consumed my every weekend but I keep thinking about how good it felt to do this and I want to try it again. Last time we raised over $3500 dollars.
We’ve set a similar goal this year and I’m asking for your help. Whether it is $5 or $500, it helps. I’m hoping to visit these schools as a graduation present in 2025.
THANK YOU for considering giving your support. I know the world feels crazy and unstable right now but by giving just a little, you are providing opportunity and hope for children who have it much tougher than us.
Thank you.
