Whole child approach Students at Plato Academy are taught with a Whole Child Approach. They aren’t only molded to think in the classroom but they are also guided in developing in all areas of life. There is guidance towards acquiring skills in art, music, sports, and a sense of community with others. We strive to help each child become a well-rounded person. We want to help other students and learn about global community.
We are an environmental club called Verde at Ransom Everglades High School in Miami. Our goal is to help the environment by participating in cleanups, growing grades, and donating to organizations that can help the environment and people around the world. Our goal is to raise $600 for H2O for life.
Our group of Vanguard High School students wants to participate because we are passionate about this cause. We realize the importance and vitality of a water well within certain communities. We are genuinely amazed at the fact that this investment can sustain an entire group of people for generations and generations to come. We love helping others in any way possible and we are constantly addressing global issues. We feel as human beings it is our duty to give support to our brothers and sisters world wide. We plan to have a movie night and include other activities like karaoke and WII videogames. There will be food served and music playing. The admission will cost $7 per person and tickets will be sold to all high school grades in schools all throughout Ocala, FL. We are extremely excited to conduct this project and make a difference that we can be proud of.
To end the school year, 6th grade Reading classes will read “A Long Walk to Water” by Linda S. Park and learn about global water scarcity. We will then put what we have learned into action by sponsoring the Namarambi Primary School water project. As a culminating activity, students will participate in a “Walk 4 Water” on May 24, 2019. Students will make personal fundraising goals and ask family and friends to sponsor their walk. They will walk the school track while carrying water gallons in support of the students at Namarambi who need clean water. Our goal is to raise awareness and FULLY fund the project to provide clean water to the school. ALL proceeds will go to support the Namarambi project. We believe this service project will have a great impact on both our students and the Namarambi Primary students! Thank you for donating! -Mrs. Cabrera & Ms. Reyes
