Funded Projects

H2O for Life partners schools in the United States with schools in developing nations. Through curriculum and experiential learning, the U.S. students build an allegiance to and an understanding of their partner school while raising funds to bring the school a WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) project. The goals are twofold. U.S. students will develop the skills to be global citizens and the students in developing countries can stay in school and receive an education, as well as the benefits of WASH.

H2O for life provides the tools required to support teachers and students so that they can concentrate on the educational aspects of the project. The tools include:
• A global partner
• Bank Account for money management
• Web site designed by National Geographic
• Curriculum resources
• Fundraising ideas and merchandise
• Tax exempt status with a 501c3 organization

Through participation in an H2O for life project, students learn that they can make an actual difference in the world. They are provided a picture of the conditions that there partner school currently endures and then at the completion of the project, they receive a picture of the completed WASH project. They can relate to their school and experience what an impact that their specific actions had on the lives of their student partners. They develop the skills and learn that they can be changemakers
