We here at H2O for Life would like to send a great big World Water Day THANK YOU to all of the Minnesota students who took the time and energy to enter our "Safeguard Our Drinking Water" poster competition! We received over 500 entries from all around the state. A special thank you to our competition co-sponsors: Minnesota Department of Health, Dow Water & Process Solutions, MN Section of American Water Works Association, and Elkay. The judging process was difficult, but rewarding. Here are the winning entries.

Nick Coughlin is the Director of Communications for H2O for Life. A longtime animal activist and co-founder of Minnesota Voters for Animal Protection, Coughlin lives in south Minneapolis with his two four-legged friends, Onyx and Boli. He has testified before the Minneapolis City Council in support of a ban on wild animal circuses, presented alongside Paul Shapiro of The Humane Society of the United States and Adam Roberts of Born Free USA, and worked for both Farm Sanctuary and Karen Dawn of Dawnwatch.com.

Coughlin is thrilled to work as the Director of Communications for H2O for Life, an organization helping children in the United States develop a greater sense of social responsibility while helping people in the developing world gain access to improved water, sanitation, and hygiene education.

In 2015, Nick traveled to Kenya to visit school projects and meet implementing partners in that country in an effort to help improve the long-term sustainability of H2O for Life funded WASH projects.
